Rajasthan gains 19 new districts; BJP claims ‘personal and political interests’

Rajasthan’s new districts announced by Ashok Gehlot include Anupgarh, Balotara, Beawar, Deeg, Deedwana-Kuchaman, Dudu, Gangapur City, Jaipur North, Jaipur South, Jodhpur East, Jodhpur West, Kekri, Kotputli-Behror, Khairthal, Neem ka Thana, Phalodi, Salumber, Sanchore, and Shahpur

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced 19 new districts and three new divisions in the state on Friday, saying the decision was made with the people’s demands in mind. A high-level committee was formed to examine the proposals for the creation of the new district, and the announcement was made in the Assembly based on the committee’s final report. The BJP has slammed the decision, claiming that it was made for political reasons and that the state will now face a slew of administrative issues.
Rajasthan’s new districts include Anupgarh, Balotara, Beawar, Deeg, Deedwana-Kuchaman, Dudu, Gangapur City, Jaipur North, Jaipur South, Jodhpur East, Jodhpur West, Kekri, Kotputli-Behror, Khairthal, Neem ka Thana, Phalodi, Salumber, Sanchore, and Shahpura. Aside from these new districts, the state will gain three new divisions: Banswara, Pali, and Sikar.

Vasundhara Raje stated that the Congess government’s new announcements are simply an attempt to further their personal political interests, with the entire economic system of Rajasthan at stake. People will have to bear the consequences of the decision for years to come, according to the BJP leader. Many important figures were overlooked in the announcement of the new districts, and people will now face administrative complications, according to the BJP leader.
Rajasthan now has 33 districts. Vasundhara Raje created the last new district in Rajasthan 15 years ago when she made Pratapgarh a district.
