DONATING EYES HELPS CORNEAL BLIND PEOPLE SEE AGAIN

Many of us are fortunate to have the ability to see this lovely world. Not everyone, though, is as fortunate as we are and experiences vision impairment. What if I told you that by contributing to a worthy cause like eye donation, we could aid those people? The goal of this blog is to dispel the myth that giving your eye away after death means you’ll be born blind the next time around. I know many of us hold this belief. Yes, it is a myth that we should die having maintained our original form. However, could you clarify something for me? For example, pierced earlobes, tattoos, etc., are things that we didn’t have at birth but acquire when we pass from this life. As a result, are we reborn with them in our subsequent lives? No. Additionally, after passing away, our entire body is either burned or buried, and when we are born again, we have a different body. Therefore, instead of being reduced to ashes, the eyes that will ultimately be burned could be donated to help someone who is corneal blind see the outside world. Another adage goes, “After you pass away, donate your eye, be a part of the discovery, and fulfil someone’s dream.”

When a person makes a pledge to donate their eye after death, only the cornea is taken and used to help people who are corneal blind regain their vision. Previously, eye donation meant donating the entire eye.

Eye donation is a wonderful act, and we can participate in this social and charitable cause because one person’s donated eye can help two other people regain their vision. Numerous Bollywood stars, including Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Suniel Shetty, Rani Mukherjee, etc., have already made the commitment to donate their eyes and provide those in need with the gift of sight, allowing them to brighten their gloomy surroundings with rainbow colours. The most lovely and priceless gift we can give is the gift of vision, and when we do so, not only will our loved ones remember us, but also the person we gave this lovely gift to.

So let’s all promise to donate an eye and be the source of light in someone else’s otherwise dark world.
