At the Beyond Wonderland festival in Washington state, several people were shot

Authorities say a suspect is in custody after a shooting occurred at the Beyond Wonderland event campgrounds at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington state. Several victims have reportedly been reported.

Police were notified for a “active shooter” at the outdoor venue close to Quincy in Grant County, about 113 miles southeast of Seattle, about 8:40 p.m. on Saturday.

“Gorge Amphitheatre has an active shooter. In an initial warning, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office advised, “If at the Gorge, seek cover.” If you encounter the suspect, “Run, hide, or fight him.”

The sheriff’s office verified that the suspect had been brought into custody around 9:15 p.m. The statement said, “The event occurred in the camp site, NOT the music venue.

There are a handful of victims, according to initial reports, but authorities did not immediately corroborate this information. Nothing was known about the shooting’s circumstances either.

The Gorge Amphitheatre is currently hosting the Beyond Wonderland festival. Three nights of camping, two full days of electronic dance music, immersive art, costumed performers, and more are all included in the festival.
