Kyogo Furuhashi has been an absolute superstar since joining Celtic in the summer of 2021 from Vissel Kobe. Many had raised eyebrows at the time about whether the Japanese player would be able to deal with the physicality of the Scottish top flight or not. In reality, it is the Premiership that has had trouble dealing with the brilliance of the forward.

Kyogo has almost scored for fun during his time at Celtic. And he is a man for the big moment as well, scoring a brace in each of his League Cup final appearances, guiding the Hoops to silverware on both occasions.

Kyogo’s numbers in a Celtic shirt have been superb to say the least. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 49 goals and provided 10 assists in 76 appearances and 4975 minutes of football for the Hoops till now.

Of course, that kind of form has seen him being linked with a move away from Parkhead in the future. Ange Postecoglou has given his take on the matter.

There have been suggestions that clubs like Crystal Palace and Southampton are interested in making a move for Kyogo in the future. On the other hand, Celtic are rumoured to rate him at a transfer fee north of £15 million. Considering how good he has been, even that appears to be on the low end to be very honest.

To put it mildly, Kyogo’s stats while wearing a Celtic jersey have been outstanding. In 76 games and 4975 minutes of play with the Hoops so far, he has scored 49 goals and contributed 10 assists, according to Transfermarkt statistics.

That kind of performance has, of course, led to speculation that he would leave Parkhead in the future. Ange Postecoglou offered his opinion on the subject.

There have been rumors that clubs like Southampton and Crystal Palace are considering signing Kyogo in the future. Celtic, on the other hand, is said to value him at a transfer fee of at least £15 million. Even that seems to be on the low end to be very honest considering how amazing he has been.

At the end of the day, Kyogo may also need to make a significant choice. He might try to get a transfer to the Premier League. He might also continue playing for Celtic, where he has the potential to become a true club legend. The future is uncertain, so for the time being, the task at hand must be the main priority.
