Cruz Azul vs. Tijuana: Live stream, TV channel, start time, and where to watch
Information on how to watch the Liga MX match between Cruz Azul and Tijuana, including kickoff time and roster updates.
Club Tijuana and Cruz Azul square off at Estadio Caliente on Saturday as both teams look for their first victory of the 2023 Liga MX season.
Tijuana began the current season in a similar way to how they ended Clausura last year in Liga MX, with a draw and a loss in the first two rounds.
Prior to failing to hold on for a victory in the previous gameweek’s 1-1 draw with Club Necaxa, Los Xolos were barely defeated 3-2 by Pumas in the opening gameweek. This indicates that Miguel Herrera’s team has yet to secure a victory in the 2023 Apertura, but it is not due a lack of scoring.
The hosts have scored three goals in two games, but their porous defence has let them down, allowing four goals in two gameweeks. Obviously, it is still extremely early, but it is by no means a promising sign.
Cruz Azul made the playoffs in both the Apertura and Clausura of the previous season, so it is somewhat surprising to see them having trouble early on this time around. The visitors lost to Toluca last week by a score of 2-0, and they are currently dead last in the Liga MX standings.
La Maquina has lost both of its opening two games of the season and failed to score in either of those games as well. They are just one loss away from suffering their worst Liga MX campaign opening in the previous 19 years.
