Catcher Josiah Cromwick of Oregon baseball enters the transfer gate
One of Oregon’s catchers is leaving for another team.
According to a person with knowledge of the situation, Josiah Cromwick, who hit.248 with seven home runs and 23 RBIs in 40 games with 31 starts for the Ducks this season, entered the transfer portal on Monday.
There is still one year left for the junior to be eligible.
In 93 games over three seasons at the University of Oregon, Cromwick had 68 starts, hit.260, had 11 home runs, and collected 47 RBIs.
The Ducks have three committed catchers in Kehden Hettiger, Nathan Davis, and Zachary Justice in addition to returning catchers Bennett Thompson (.340, four home runs, and 22 RBIs), Chase Meggers, and Anson Aroz (.265, one home run, and seven RBIs).
