The song “Aqua Disco” was frequently sung at anti-Moscow protests in Ukraine, and it became so popular that the protests were dubbed “Aqua Disco Parties.”
According to Russian news website People Talk, Dima Nova fell through ice while crossing Russia’s Volga river in the Yaroslavl region. He was with his brother Roma and two friends at the time of the accident, according to the report.
Cream Soda, a pop group, announced Dima Nova’s death in an Instagram post.
“Last night was a tragedy. Our Dima Nova was walking along the Volga with friends when he fell through the ice. His brother Roma and friend Gosha Kiselev are still missing, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
